Business Users WEEE Directive

On the 2nd January 2007 the UK Government enacted legislation in line with the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. As a result, from July 2007 all electrical products are required to be recycled at the end of their useful life. This regulation outlines rules for the collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of electrical waste. For full details on the WEEE Directive please see details on the Environment Agency website.

We offer a collection and responsible disposal service for your end of life products via our manufacturers and supplier network. If our collection and disposal service is required, all old units have to be unplugged or disconnected, empty and ready for collection clearly marked for WEEE collection. If you would like to contact us for a price please use our Contact Us page and provide us with your Make/Model of appliance along with your company details, we will then contact you with a price. Please note that it will be cheaper if you have your old appliance collected at the same time as your new appliance being delivered.

VAT

All our online prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated. A full VAT invoice will be issued via email.

Online Secure Payments

Credit or debit card payments are encrypted via the web payments SagePay terminal and protocol. Any payments details taken over the telephone will be destroyed immediately. We take our data protection duties seriously and all staff are trained in proper procedure. We may also run further credit or security checks to improve security for you and Business Reply.

Delivery & Acceptance

We endeavour to deliver your items as soon as possible via a recognised delivery service provider. We will provide you with a tracking number where possible for your own tracking online. Each item description will advise of the expected delivery schedule. Unless items are on back order or we are awaiting your instructions or you have specifically been advised otherwise then you can expect your item in that time frame. Obviously certain events beyond our control may disrupt the delivery service and we ask that you are patient with us whilst we try to sort out a solution. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage due to delay in delivery. Most goods have to be signed for so if you are not in to accept a delivery you may have a card left by the service provider to arrange another delivery day with them. We are happy to help if this happens just contact us.

Large items may require you to fill in a delivery form – this will ask you to check door openings and access to the building to ensure a delivery can be made as required. Delivery of large items is to front door of ground floor premises only it is then your responsibility to handle further manoeuvring. Risk transfers to you once signed for so ensure goods are insured and safely handled thereafter. Business Reply cannot be held responsible for any loss damage or disruption if goods have not been handled stored or installed correctly by customers.

Damages & Missing Items

The person signing for the delivery should inspect the outer casing and ask courier to note any damages before acceptance. Please unbox and check all items (even crockery!) and report any damages or missing items or parts to us within 24 hours.

. We are sure the goods will be fine it’s just some manufacturers are very strict on accepting damage reports within 24 hours of delivery for exchange of goods and we feel bad if customers are let down.

Returns

If for any reason you are not happy with your item please contact us in the first instance to address any concerns you have – we are reasonable and can often find a resolution for you.

We do accept returns but we ask that you contact us for an RMA number in the first instance. No goods can be returned without this procedure. Once we have received your request we will send you an RMA form to complete. If your returns request has been accepted we will inform you of the return address along with your RMA number, we will at this stage inform you of the amount that will be refunded subject to the terms and conditions at the bottom of the form. Goods returned without an RMA number will not be accepted for booking in. Upon receipt of the returned goods we will inspect the goods to make sure they meet the T’s & C’s. If goods pass inspection then we will process the agreed refund amount to your account. If goods fail inspection your return will be cancelled and no refund will be given, if you then want your goods returned to you there will be a carriage charge of £5.95 + VAT which will need to be paid for release of said items.

Consumers Rights

Statutory rights for customers placing Orders as private consumers (as defined by law) not business use are not affected. You automatically get a 14-day ‘cooling-off period’ when you buy something you haven’t seen in person – unless it’s bespoke or made to measure. You need to tell us you don’t want the item within 14 days of receiving it. Once you’ve told us, you’ve got another 14 days to actually send the item back. The cooling-off period starts as soon as you receive your order, and there doesn’t need to be anything wrong with the item for you to get a refund. Return postage costs will be at the customers cost in this case. We would like you to return the item in its original packaging and you do need to make sure it’s packaged in a way that means it doesn’t get damaged in transit. We can ask you to pay if something gets damaged because it wasn’t packaged properly or reduce your refund if you’ve reduced the value of the item.

Warranty

Certain goods are covered with a return to base warranty this will involve you sending the item back to us for us to evaluate them to rule out any misuse by customers. We will then offer a repair or replacement. Should the item be found to be faulty due to misuse, accidental or excessive wear and tear by customers we will contact you to discuss charges for repairs and/or posting back to you. Please contact us if you think an item is faulty and ask for advice.

Goods have a 12 month warranty unless specifically stated otherwise in the product description. Parts and/or labour under this warranty are guaranteed in the UK mainland only. This warranty does not apply to any defect in the Goods caused by the fault, negligence or failure of customers to use the goods for their normal intended purposes or failure to adhere to manufacturer instructions (including storage, use in incorrect environment, maintenance, de-scaling and cleaning). Gaskets, refrigerants, filter driers, shelves, tray slides, castors and legs, electric lamps, fuses, keys, locks, glass, filters, mains plugs and leads, hose connections and consumables are warranted to be free from defect on delivery only and any damage caused due to delivery must be reported to us within 24 hours to qualify for replacement, repair or refund at our discretion. Goods marked ‘no commercial warranty’ are sold without any warranties unless otherwise stated. Engineer call-outs and repairs carried out on non-warranty faults or defects may be subject to further charges. This includes if customers have missed or are unduly late for an arranged call-out. Business Reply may with reasonable discretion invalidate warranties for any goods that have been or are suspected to have been altered, tampered with, serviced, repaired or attended to without our prior endorsement or approval.

Each request for service or warranty cover repair will be assessed at your point of contact with us. We will endeavour to resolve issues within 7 working days.

With certain goods you may have to fill in a warranty card online or post to the manufacturer to register the warranty with them. They will carry their own T’s & C’s.
